Ball City Academy
Welcome to BALL CITY, one of the rising basketball programs in the Cities and is committed to passion, discipline and respect. Its goal is to train players not only in the fundamentals of basketball but to develop elite skills, habits and mindset that will help them become elite players. It provides opportunities for young athletes to play basketball at a competitive level, and supports players in their growth and development. Our foundation is a philosophy of hardwork, teamwork and discipline.
BALL CITY is a skills, fundamentals and player developmental basketball program, including travel teams. It provides opportunities for young athletes to practice and play basketball at a competitive level, and assist each player in their growth and development.
A Year of Growth and Competition
BALL CITY is in its third year as a program, and over the last year, we competed in local tournaments with MYAS and various AAU tournaments. We also traveled to tournaments in Wisconsin and Iowa. And for the final tournament of our Spring and Summer season, we participated in the AAU World Championships in Orlando, Florida at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Center. We were the only team from Minnesota at the tournament. For the Fall Season, we introduced our Ball City Elite team, and participated in a 9th grade Fall League, and a JV Division Fall League, to prepare players for their high school teams.

Part of our goal is to build a program we can all respect. At the core of the program is passion, respect and discipline. We show this in our passion for the game, our discipline in practice and games, and our respect for our coaches, teammates, parents, supporters, officials and fans. And our foundation is the philosophy of teamwork. We will practice, play and grow as a team.
To become better at anything requires passion and time and discipline. To become a better basketball player requires the same time. And the game of basketball will give back to you if you put the time into it. Our goal is to support that development and journey by providing opportunities—including practices, scrimmage sessions, and a traveling team, and other opportunities.
